George E. Grimes, Jr., a shareholder in the firm, is a 1997 summa cum laude graduate of St. Mary's University School of Law, where he served as articles editor of the St. Mary's Law Journal.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Grimes had twenty years of business and management experience, primarily in construction and manufacturing.  He is a member of the Public Contract Law Section, Litigation Section and Construction Industry Forum of the American Bar Association, the School Law Section, Litigation Section and Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association, the Education Law Association, the Texas Association of Community College Attorneys, and TASB's Council of School Attorneys.  Mr. Grimes writes a monthly column, “It’s the Law, By George!”, for Texas School Business magazine.  He is currently licensed to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas.
