Marquette M. Maresh, a shareholder in the firm, is a 1999 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law where she was a Teaching Quizmaster and Director of Development for the Texas Journal of Women and the Law.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996.  Ms. Maresh frequently speaks and writes on education law issues.  Her work has appeared in the Texas School Administrators’ Legal Digest, The Texas Lawyer, and the State Bar’s School Law Section Report.  Ms. Maresh particularly enjoys working with student issues and is author of Walsh Anderson’s Student Code of Conduct, as well as co-author of the firm’s Legal Guide to DAEP and Expulsion Procedures.  She is a member of the National School Boards Association's Council of School Attorneys, the Texas Association of School Boards' Council of School Attorneys, and the School Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
