Christopher A. Troutt is a 1986 graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Law.  Prior to beginning private practice, he served as a briefing attorney for the judges of the Eighth District Texas Court of Appeals, in El Paso.  He is admitted to practice in the State of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas and in the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

During his twenty years in private practice, he has handled a wide variety of litigation matters, trials and appeals.  He is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the  Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  He has represented individuals and business organizations in all phases of litigation involving commercial matters, employment disputes, personal injury and products liability lawsuits, and real estate transactions.  He has also served as outside counsel for governmental entities, including school districts and water districts, providing them with legal advice and representation in all aspects of their operations.

Additionally, he is a member of the State Bar of Texas School Law, Labor and Employment Law and Litigation Sections, the Dallas Bar Association, the Texas Association of School Boards’ Council of School Attorneys and the National Association of School Boards’ Council of School Attorneys.  He continues to be active in the Tarrant County Bar Association and has served as the President of the Fort Worth - Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association and Chair of the 2004 Bench Bar Conference.
