Jan Watson represents Texas school districts in special education matters, including attending Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings, filing and responding to requests for due process hearings, consulting with school personnel regarding special education matters, negotiating during mediation sessions, preparing witnesses and evidentiary materials for due process hearings, and representing the District at hearings.  Jan taught students with auditory impairments in El Paso ISD and Fort Worth ISD.  She served as educational diagnostician for the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf in Lubbock ISD prior to attending law school.  In addition to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in special education, Jan is a graduate of the Texas Tech School of Law.  She was a presenter at the 1999 annual convention of the Texas Council for Exceptional Children in San Antonio, Texas and the 2000 annual convention of the Council for Exceptional Children in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
